Haley Ramos has been an exemplary student throughout her high school years. She is a proud member of the La Feria Mighty Lion Band and has played the baritone/euphonium since 6th grade. She has a number of memorable moments as a member of the band, but this stood out to her specifically, “I really enjoy playing alone in the band hall and being able to practice in peace. That feeling of not feeling any judgment and not making any mistakes is very rewarding.” Haley is also a proud member of UIL. She competes in physics, chemistry and biology. While there have been a number of influential students throughout her experience at La Feria ISD, she expressed, “Mr. Guerrero has been a very encouraging influence in my education and has made solving science problems very natural to me… like it’s an everyday thing. Being a member of UIL has helped me gain confidence with my academics and about myself. It has also taught me to be adventurous in learning, and has helped me tie problem solving skills throughout my life, not in my academics alone.” She is honored to be chosen as “Student of the Week” by KRGV.
