KRGV Estudiante de la Semana

For this month’s Lion’s Roar, we would like to highlight our two students that were nominated by their counselors and teachers and won both the KRGV Channel 5 “Estudiante de la Semana” and “Student of the Week.” Marianna Cervin is a Senior at La Feria Early College High School and has been a proud member of the La Feria Mighty Lion Band for four, she is in fact the drum major. She thanks the directors and her fellow band members for making my high school years so memorable and fun. Marianna is also a soccer player and is thankful for her coaches’ support and positive influence. She states, “Coach Perez, Echevarria and Rodriguez have taught me to never give up and to keep reaching for the stars. Because of them, I never gave up on my goals… literally and figuratively. I’ll always follow my dreams because of them.” Lastly, she’d like to thank her folklorico teacher, Mrs. Perez, who has always been there to listen and provide guidance, no matter the time of day. “I am a member of the club, the friends that I made these past four years will always have a lasting impression on me, and the memories I made will stay with me forever. Thank you for choosing me as your Estudiante de la Semana!”
