LA FERIA INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT

Current state law requires a candidate for trustee of an independent school district to be a qualified voter by the time required by Election Code Section 141.001. An application for place on the ballot (PDF) must be filed at:

TERMS AND ELECTION SCHEDULE:

Board members shall be elected for four-year terms, with elections conducted biennially, as follows:

Places 4, 5, 6, and 7: The election for places 4, 5, 6, and 7 shall be held in 2022, 2026, 2030 and in four-year intervals thereafter.

Places 1, 2, and 3: The election for places 1, 2, and 3 shall be held in 2024, 2028, 2032 and in four-year intervals thereafter.

Filing by Email or Fax: A signed, sworn, scanned candidate application (and petition, if applicable) may be submitted by email or fax if there is no filing fee. Please be advised that an application must be notarized prior to filing via email or fax.
