Local Grievance Policy

The Texas Education Code requires districts to develop a process for employees and parents to present complaints to the board of trustees. Board Policies govern the grievances process:

What You Need to Know:

• You must file within 60 days of learning about the issue.
• If you try to resolve the issue informally, you may have up to 90 days to file.
• Your school must hold a grievance hearing with 10 days of submission.
• You will receive at least 5 business days' notice before the hearing.
• Writing decisions must be provided within 20 days after the hearing.
