Fruit and Vegetable Program at Sanchez

The students at David G. Sanchez Elementary are lucky enough to participate in a Fruit and Vegetable Program at their campus this year. The program introduces students to a new fruit every Wednesday and a new vegetable every Friday.  It has been a big hit with both students and parents thus far.  Sanchez Elementary is using this program to help promote a positive and healthy lifestyle for our students.  Students are learning to trade their unhealthy snacks like chips and candy, for a healthier choice like fruits and vegetables.  During Open House this year, parents were given information about the program, and it seemed to get a great response.  Both parents and students are appreciative of all the hard work that was put in for allowing our campus to have this program.  It has been a great success.
