Let there be light! Students have been learning the different ways light is beneficial to all of us. They’ve learned how natural light comes from things like the sun, stars, lightning, fireflies, and fire and how man-made light comes from things like light bulbs, flashlights and cell phones. We took a nature walk outdoors and we discussed how the sun is not only a source of natural light, but also a heat source. I closed the week’s lesson by giving my students a helpful hint. If they can buy it at the store, then it is a man-made source of light.
