Annual Parent and Student Information on Sexting

Feria ISD shall annually provide or make available to parents and
District-determined age-appropriate students information developed by
the Texas School Safety Center regarding the legal, social, emotional,
educational, and other unintended consequences of creating, possessing,
or sharing visual material depicting a minor engaged in sexual conduct.
The
District may meet this requirement by distributing or providing access
to the following Texas School Safety Center resources:

Before You Text: Bullying and Sexting Course,
which addresses sexting, sextortion, bullying, harassment, digital
risks, Texas and federal laws, digital citizenship, and the long-term
consequences of online conduct. The course is recommended for students
age 12 and older.
